For a truly acid sound, very close to the 303, you might also consider the TB-O module.
See: https://modulargrid.net/e/ge0sync-synth-tb-o
@wishbonebrewery has posted several videos on this topic in MG.

For a slowly evolving ambient patch, use the Jitter function. It's an ideal tool for a lively piece.

Here comes the Wavehaikus. A collection of micro patches built within Bitwigs PolyGrid as a base for the sketch. Accessible to all - be inspired, make it better.

Hi folks! This is supposed to be a eurorack geared towards acid bass and similar sounds.
I would like to use it in conjunction with my Polyend Tracker Mini (which I would use for the rhythm base).
What do you think? Do you have any other configurations to propose, possibly cheap (I would like to stay under €400 but I don't know if it's feasible)

-- Gigloada

I think you need a VCA, otherwise this will not work. Ideally you want a second envelope too, otherwise your filter(s) and VCA have to share.

If you are using the polyend tracker, do you really need a sequencer in the case? It's very large.

Once every few months here. No issues, Win 10, Chrome browser.

Enjoy your spare HP, don't rush to fill every last space, this is not like filling sticker books. Resist the urge to 'complete' your rack, its never complete so just relax.

I'm not sure if ya'll are using session tokens or cookies, but the expiration is set wayyy too short for a site like this. I'm tired of having to continually log in every day, or multiple times a day even.

Here is his latest live setup:

over:under

Thread: surgeon 2018

as far I know he is out of eurorack and uses a pulsar 23 + Torso T1 + 1010 Blackbox

I saw him latest at superbooth, playing with some harsh feedback-delay and resonance stuff.

Might be something new again in his setup right now.

Greetings

Chris

i he really use piston Honda where is that verified?
-- chromecube

He's always modifying his live rig from the discussions I've watched and heard. This live rig is from 7+ years ago, so I imagine he's using something else completely different now.

Thanks!!!

just another take:

2 voices + filter with mixer and drive
or 1 voice + waveshaper + filter with mixer and drive

boombipbass -- Larry Van Doorn, [email protected] -- is a fraud! I have a similar experience, only I paid for a module which he shipped to me broken and unusable (and with unoriginal knobs, and without power cable -- he advertised it as "As new"). When I messaged him the module was broken, he said "I dont accept returns" and has not answered messages since. A total asshole.
-- markylorenzen

damn, i found this post to late :(. Larry Van Doorn, [email protected] , @larrydekat aka @boombipbass sold me a future retro trax and Send me Nothing but some dead tracking a few weeks ago. all requests for my module, tracking or a solution have been ignored for weeks now...
@larrydekat still has the future retro module up for offer among others.
-- ozwa12ld
I wish I would have seen this sooner. I guess it's my fault for not checking his feedback. Just sent him payment for a VCF and nothing but silence since then.

Hi,
Not necessarily, sometimes there are people who stay for a while without accessing the website, other times, I don't know the reason, they never respond...

Hi,

I just joined here and try to make my first module purchases. I sent messages to three different users almost three weeks ago and none of them have replied.

Are my messages not going through, or do they just consider newcomers suspicious? :/

Cheers,

Sami from Finland

Paid for this at the end of 2023 and never heard back from them. Pity, because I bought a RX-5 module previously without issues. Too late to say avoid, unless they resurge with a different brand.

Hi,

My Happy Nerding FX Aid Pro menu rotates, placing a different effect into the #1 slot. It is making it very difficult to find things since it no longer matches the documentation. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to reset the effect listing?

Thanks for your time,
Bri

depends on what you want to do.
you can use them also for audio stuff.
But maybe add some more stuff, which you can modulate.

Chris

i wanna have this, contact me please.

I suggest you contact Dawned Instruments. You can simply order the instrument on their website.

Hi folks. I am thinking about getting Mega Milton for my rack because it has many utilities that I'm lacking right now. One of the main things I was excited about was the line level to eurorack input so I can send guitar into my rig, but looking through the manual I noticed that it only boosts the level by +12db, compared to MI Ears +40db. Has anyone out there used Mega Milton to boost guitar signals, and if so was it enough of a boost to send the guitar directly into it, or did you have to combine it with another module or pedal to get the volume you required.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Maybe paste in the link and remove the pricacy so people can have a proper look at your modules?

Hi folks!
Got 11HP left. Do you think adding Make Noise Multimod or Orbit 3 would be an overkill? Perhaps I should go with utilities like mixer? What do you think?

I'm leaning towards getting this module, but I can't seem to find a sound example or video on the distortion. If either of you feel like it, could you please send me a clip of the ACAB distortion in action? No problem if you don't wanna :P. Cheers!

Thread: Third Wheel

@deniSound, I hadn't realized Disting had a pitch tracker with envelope follower. So glad you mentioned this. I have no need for this module, as a result.

Or maybe that:
Instrument interface (befaco) through a little bandpass filter, through disting for pitch and cv tracking)...
-- deniSound

Hi Chris, and many thanks for that feedback ! I'll have a deep look at those modules even though I know some of them :)
I reaelly lack the patching ideas between them and utilities that make them work
Anyways thank you !

did willi die? if so, that is sad. i was not aware. i bought a Twin Peak Resonator from him last August.

Someone mentioned that Rob H wasnt alive anymore and making them, who else is in charge of taking orders? any help would be great

I will never ever sell mine but i suggsst to email the maker and ask! he explained everything super clearly and offered options (such as panel type, etc.). super easy purchase experience.

New Systems Instruments sent me their new module, Discrete Map. It’s a deep module, with lots of potential uses, so I’ll be dedicating the next few videos to it. This first, introductory video uses it as a generative sequencer, extracting an evolving melody from a Lorenz chaos trajectory.

I would think that you can archieve a track like this with just:

marbles - for whole sequencing, also ratchets and bursts

beads - for granular effect on the arp

noise source
any vco for drone with some oomph processing. maybe with dark matter

vco for arp
morphagene - for string samples and glitch
mimeophon - for feedback and dark reverb

Vihkk x is awesome for drones
check it out

plus the right patching

Greetings

Chris

Hi people, I'd love to have your opinion on what modules and what patches ideas you would have on this :

https://kmruahossan.bandcamp.com/album/limen

I'm talking about either drones, 'strings', saturation/disto, glitchy/granulary effects happening !

I could think of Ruina Versio ; Morphagene or Arbhar or Multigrain ? but I'm missing specific voices and how bursts could happen (like an arpeeggiator's free rate being modulated?)

Thank you all!

Hi All, last June I helped produce a modular free jazz/play event at ridgewoodsoundlab. Tonight, at 10PM EST, I am going to premiere the video of the full show tonight on my YouTube channel. I would love some company down memory lane:

Hi,

I moved to a smaller case, pared everything down for a live set up which is okay but ended up with these left overs that dont have a home.

Would you see a use case for these as a rack in and of themselves?

Apart from the Deflector Shield and the 171-2 I'm half of a mind to sell....or store...

Your opinion, please? My first time post so I'm not sure if I am sharing my rack correctly:

Man, I never feel that leftover module systems do much. I've had a few. They're left-over for a reason. I always find it better to stash them as long as I don't need the money.
-- Wiktorion

That's good to know, and be reminded; I'll make peace with myself by storing not selling. tnx.

Also played with Arturia Keystep Sequencer (32 Key basic unit)

Here's a demo of the E950 with the E951 looper/expander ( all sounds made with this pair )

-- Fastus

Did you multitrack this? because I cannot use vocals and the vco at the same time, or am I wrong?

as the system still ignores the YT video (does not work on my works, stranglely enough to be mentionned), I post the demo video on here.
Modulaire Maritime, the creator and manufacturer of the Phocaean city is back with its first generator, an analog oscillator embedding supersaw and TZFM, packaged in a comfortable 2HP. The video is in French but it has a lot of language subtitles, pick yours!

hello
i have a question about the module for Power.
What is important to check at the module itself?

Because most have a 13v-20v input and the Power Supply 230V to 15v 60W is outside!

So what i have to check at the RackModul Power, except to look nice ;-)

have a nice day
vinc

Thanks, also noting that Doepfer modules probably don't have reverse polarity protection, so i've probably been lucky (nothing blown at this point)

Hi, I'm going to start building my first eurorack system and some advice is really appreciated to try to make the less mistakes possible. I'll be making hypnotic techno and the system is oriented to the performer side but also it will be used as studio case. Drum duties will be taken care of by Digitakt 2, as well as sampling and mangling stems from the modular. for the case, I've been considering the doepfer 9U 84hp or the intellijel 7U 104 hp. When designing both systems few compromises had to be done but my feeling is that the Intellijel case It's less dense, hence more playable and easier to patch but I might be wrong :) Please find below both of the systems. Thanks in advance for any comments.
