Walrus Audio Fathom - Multi-Function Reverb Pedal

Walrus Audio's flagship reverb. Four algorithms (Hall, Plate, Lo-Fi, Sonar), three-position modulation switch (LO/MED/HI), Sustain footswitch for infinite hold, and six knobs for deep tone-shaping. Currently $199 new from Walrus Audio; used units typically sell $120-160 depending on condition. This unit is priced as a fully tested, clean working pedal with no box.

Bench-tested - fully functional:

• Powers on cleanly via standard 9V center-negative supply

• Both footswitches (Bypass + Sustain) confirmed working

• All 4 reverb programs tested: Hall, Plate, Lo-Fi, Sonar - all producing correct effect

• All 6 knobs (Decay, Dampen, Mix, Program, X, and unlabeled top-right) turn smoothly with full sweep, no scratchiness

• 3-way Mod switch (HI/MED/LO) clicks cleanly into all positions

• Sustain switch holds and releases correctly

• Bypass is clean - no signal bleed, no pop

What was NOT tested:

• Expression pedal input (no TRS expression pedal on bench)

Cosmetic condition:

• Teal/ocean graphic enclosure - looks great from the front, normal player wear

• All original Walrus Audio knobs present and secure

• Both footswitches firm and responsive

• Bottom plate shows scuffing and adhesive residue from previous pedalboard mounting (see photos) - cosmetic only

• Sides show light surface scratches and minor paint wear at edges - consistent with normal use

• No cracks, no dents, no stripped screws

• Photos are of this exact unit - what you see is what you get

All electronics are tested. Any known issues are listed in the description above. Your item will not be sent DOA unless explicitly specified.

Sometimes issues do arise in transit and can be caused by rough handling, old/brittle wiring, or a component failing under the rigors of shipping. Major issues are covered by insurance - that's why every package ships fully insured.

Many issues are minor and fall under normal user maintenance. These are things any buyer of used electronics should be comfortable handling:

• Pots can be scratchy or develop a flat spot from use. DeoxIT solves most of these.

• Switches occasionally need to be cleaned or adjusted to make better contact.
