It uses "Reels," "Splices," and "Genes" to manipulate audio in ways inspired by musique concrète and digital granular synthesis. SPECS: Reel-Based Sampling: It records stereo audio into "Reels" up to 87 seconds long, which can be divided into 99 "Splices". Vari-Speed Control: This allows for independent manipulation of playback speed and direction (forward/reverse) over a range of three octaves. Granular Processing: Use "Gene Size" and "Slide" to break sounds into microsounds (grains) for dense textures. Morphing: This control introduces polyphony by layering and staggering "Genes" for shimmering overtones.
