The Smart Research C2 Compressor is a dual mono compressor with a stereo mode. When used in stereo, the first mono compressor controls the second, or both compressors can be used in mono mode independently.

Picking up where the SSL Bus Compressor left off, the added flexibility and tonal character of the Smart Research C2 Compressor makes it a key compressor and many a studio’s dynamics racks, Miloco Studios included.

The unit achieves its unique sound through the quick response and the way in which the compression comes in. Once attack is set at around the middle of control a certain window is made, which transients can still pass through. This all amounts to added punch when put across either a mix bus or a huge range of dynamic mono or stereo sources. The side chain can still breath around the transients but maintain control on the general level.
