About This Model
The DigiTech Whammy is a pitch-shifting effects pedal for guitar and bass, built around 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion at a 44.1 kHz sample rate. It offers 10 Whammy settings, 9 Harmony settings, and 2 Detune settings, with a built-in expression pedal for real-time pitch control. A Classic/Chords switch toggles between the original single-note pitch-shifting algorithms and a modern chordal mode that handles full polyphonic input. Connectivity includes a 1/4" instrument input, a 1/4" audio output, and a 5-pin DIN MIDI input for remote control, while True Bypass circuitry keeps the signal path clean when the effect is off.
