One of its most defining traits is its unusually low input impedance, which interacts with guitar pickups in a way that naturally softens high frequencies and adds a uniquely textured character. For players who prefer a more traditional signal path, a switchable buffer allows you to retain clarity and proper impedance matching whenever needed.The result is a pedal that delivers everything from clean boost tones to rich overdrive, distortion, and even fuzz-like textures. The active EQ section offers a wide range of tonal shaping options, while the internally boosted 18-volt headroom provides plenty of punch and dynamic range when pushing an amp.Part of the charm of the 424 MKII is its authenticity. In low-impedance mode (side button disengaged), the pedal performs best placed first in your signal chain.
