Wampler Tumnus Deluxe overdrive / boost pedal in gold finish, with original Wampler box and Wampler drawstring pouch.This is the Wampler Tumnus Deluxe, the expanded version of Wampler’s Tumnus overdrive circuit. It is designed as a Klon-style transparent overdrive / boost, but with substantially more control than the standard mini Tumnus. It can work as an always-on tone enhancer, a clean-ish boost, a light-to-medium overdrive, or a more driven lead / rhythm gain stage.The pedal has a five-control layout with Bass, Mids, Treble, Level, and Gain. Bass, Mids, and Treble give far more EQ shaping than the standard three-knob Klon-style format, making it easier to match the pedal to different guitars, amps, pickups, and gain stages. Level controls the output, and Gain sets the amount of drive.The center mini-toggle selects between Normal and Hot modes. Normal mode gives the classic Tumnus-style response: clear, open, touch-sensitive, and excellent for pushing an amp. Hot mode adds extra gain and saturation for thicker overdrive, stronger lead tones, and more aggressive amp-pushing sounds.The pedal also includes a side-mounted Buffer switch, allowing the user to choose between buffered bypass and true bypass operation.
