Offer Details

The FX65 chorus is a variable delay unit that gives a subtle but embellishing tone to your sound. It does this by delaying the sound of the original instrument a small amount (4 to 6 milliseconds) and varying the amount of delay. The delayed, slightly pitch shifted signal is mixed with the original signal causing the chorus feel with a slight hint of flanger. Full disclosure, this is on the more subtle side most likely due to aging the effect is more subtle than average but does contain the original sought after MN3007 BBD chip! This pedal works best stacked with others to embellish tones. It is missing the cap to the speed knob and also the battery door on the top but all in all this pedal outside and internally are in great shape. sold as-is.“John Frusciante used [the FX65] instead of or in addition to the famed CE-1 on my favorite RHCP record, Blood Sugar Sex Magik,” he said. “I always loved the Hendrix-esque doubling, flanging and rotary sounds on that album. The chorus tones on songs like “Mellowship,” “Give it Away,” and “Soul to Squeeze” sounded like a shallow flanger to me.”
