The Danelectro Fab Tone Distortion delivers an unmistakable retro tube amp sound. Housed in the rugged Fab chassis, which has become so well-known among musicians since its introduction in the mid-90s. The pedal features controls for Volume, Fab (Gain), and a two-band EQ, allowing you to dial in a growling vintage distortion sound that complements your tone rather than overpowering it.The sound is quite aggressive and has plenty of gain and volume headroom: this isn’t a vintage distortion or a Hendrix fuzz, but rather leans toward a JCM800 on steroids.The pedal has clearly been played often and with love, and sounds just like it did on day one, even if it has suffered a bit visually. Patina is charming.
