A short, interesting story about this pedal. It's started off as a Sunface, which I used as part of a large pedalboard, with a switcher system. When I eventually downsized my board, I sent it in to A.M. to be upgraded to a Sunlion, along with some mods and standard maintenance, in 2022.The specs:Most importantly, this version houses the 'very low gain' (VLG) NKT Red Dot transistors. Which are extremely difficult to find these days.In addition, this Sun Lion has also been modded with an On/Off knob switch, as well as outfitted with just a single LED on the Beano Boost side. Why is this? Well, when I've used this pedal, the Sunface side is always on! Either as a full-on fuzz, or for subtle/colored compression (therefore the light doesn't really matter). And, since the Sun Lion can only be powered with a 9v battery, this setup is the most efficient way to maintain consistent performance, and battery life.Lastly, you may have noticed that the labels and standard 'Lion' graphic are not there. This was a purposeful request, more so to keep a clean, low-profile look. I think it helps the pedal age much better, cosmetically (as well as not draw too much attention).This pedal is in perfect working condition. And sounds absolutely amazing!Box(es), an AM pedal bag, and the standard candy included.
