The PDS 1002 is a vintage 80s digital delay and sampler from DigiTech/DOD. The 2 seconds max delay time and infinite repeat functionality are great for intuitive (if rudimentary) looping. This pedal has been calibrated for self oscillation at max region settings, making it a fantastic tool for textural soundscape and noise artists.The electrolytic caps in the time delay selection muting circuit are known to dry out and cause failure, as had happened in this model. These caps have been replaced and the pedal is functioning as new. The tactile footswitches are of unknown age, but function properly and consistently. The finish is very good condition—maintaining most of its original luster—with only a couple of chips on the corners near the footswitches (see photos.)
