Description

Maxon OD-9 that appears to have been modded by the wonderful folks at XTS. Was modded in 2011. I purchased this on a whim a couple months ago. Sounds cool but I am more of a King of Tone guy. The Maxon OD-9 is true bypass which is why there is all that open space on the circuit board. They use the same board as the old TS-9 Reissues they used to make for Ibanez but they don’t need all those components. Because the switch is true bypass it has a different feel then the standard TS-9 footswitch. Easier with shoes than toes. From the Analogman site: “This OD-9 board has many parts removed in preparation for our SILVER mod. Much of it's TS9 circuit board is already empty because it no longer uses the TS9s FET switching. So there is less circuitry in your signal path for a clearer, purer tone. I recommend the OD-9 over the TS9 for best tone both ON and OFF. The true bypass switch is a little different feeling from a Boss or Ibanez switch. Like all true bypass pedals it goes down and back up to switch, unlike a momentary switch which just sends a pulse when you touch it.”I have a lot of pedals so I am downsizing. I just don’t need so many flavors of overdrive as an at home player. I tried to contact XTS about the pedal but didn’t get a response. So unfortunately I don’t know what magic sauce they put on it. Shipping will be free using USPS Ground Advantage. I only offer returns if the pedal is damaged when it arrives to you. Feel free to make offers. But let’s be reasonable please. Thanks.
