This is a DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 reissue from the late 90's, according to Josh Scott of JHS pedals a "Version 5" see the video link for WAY more info. This Pedal Sounds Great! The gain knob works in a very cool way, as you turn the knob up the gain increases as does the amount of treble information. Although there are only two knobs there are 3 to 4 distinct sounds: a bassy clean boost, a low gain amp breakup boost, a fantastic medium gain rhythm sound, and a raging amp "cranked amp" sound. Start with the gain at 11 o'clock and the volume up all the way, as you increase the gain knob turn down the volume knob. Easy Peasy. There is an unusual power cable included as well as a 9 volt battery. Thanks!
