The Laney Black Country Customs The Difference Engine puts three distinct eras of delay effects at your feet. But that's not all — this stereo digital delay effects pedal not only effectively emulates the classic tape echo era, the '80s vintage digital era, and the '90s dynamic digital era, but it also enables you to combine features from each era to create unique-sounding delay effects you won't find anywhere else. The Difference Engine is jam-packed with 100 factory patches, with 50 crafted by famous artists. Three eras of delays

• Analogue yields up to 1,250ms of space-like tape echo dripping with warm, analog tone. You can create straight delays from a single virtual head, or deploy multiple virtual heads for a classic overlaid delay effect. You can even dial in simulated tape artifacts, like wow and flutter.

• Digital gives you up to 2,500ms of crisp-sounding, low-resolution digital delay lifted right out of the 1980s. You can craft multi-tap delays as well as a freeze effect. You also get tap tempo and modulated repeats.

• Dynamic delivers up to 2,500ms of '90s-style digital delay with modulation and ducking features. You also get multi-tap delays plus phase reversal on the repeats for an immersive wraparound effect.

Jam-packed with pro-level features

The Difference Engine contains all the features you need to integrate it with a professional guitar rig. True stereo in and out allows you to route stereo in and out or create a stereo output from a single input. An expression pedal input gives you command of multiple delay parameters in real-time. The Difference Engine's MIDI I/O supports both MIDI CC numbers and Program Change messages.
