Available as an assembled Module and as a DIY project.
This Module is a prototype or in a concept phase.
Performance comparator
Comparator, but then a bunch more (mostly sending triggers instead of gates), with a possibility to sync those to incoming clock. Top, bottom, and 4 up/down states inbetween. 10 outputs.
Top button toggles between response of R2-R5: they either toggle gate on (useful when you want to change the sound depending on direction) when moving ↓ , and toggle gate off when moving ↑, or they fire triggers like L1-L6 when moving ↓ (useful when triggering different sounds per direction).
Lower button toggles quantization to incoming clock.
Top and lower button combo toggles between modes:
RED
L1-L6: triggered when moving ↑
R2-R5: triggered when moving ↓, or toggled on when moving ↓ and toggled off when moving ↑
GREEN / allows retriggering of the same output from both directions.
L1-L6: generally triggered when moving ↑ but can be retriggered with focused movement
R2-R5: generally triggered when moving ↓, or toggled on when moving ↓ and toggled off when moving ↑ but can be retriggered with focused movement
WHITE / useful for longer duration notes
L1: gate on at threshold (use this for longer duration notes)
L6: gate on at threshold
L2-L5: triggered when moving ↑
R2-R5: triggered when moving ↓, or toggled on when moving ↓ and toggled off when moving ↑
LIGHTBLUE / useful when you want to change the sound depending on direction and speed
L1-L6: triggered when moving ↑ or ↓
R5: gate if ↑ velocity above certain threshold
R4: trigger when direction is ↑
R3: trigger when direction is ↓
R2: gate if ↓ velocity above certain threshold
PURPLE / useful for shaker sound that triggers with every change of direction
L1-L6: triggered when moving ↑ or ↓
R5: gate if velocity above certain threshold
R4: gate when direction is ↑
R3: gate when direction is ↓
R2: trigger when direction changes
