Description

TACTUS turns the depth of each press on its four keys into CV and Gate signals. In addition to individual outputs for each key, the four keys work together as an expressive three-axis controller. From triggers to continuous modulation, TACTUS brings hands-on movement to your rack.

Each key outputs its press depth as a smooth 0–5V CV. RANGE sets the output range, while CURVE selects the response shape: LOG, LIN, or EXP. When a key is pressed beyond the level set by THRESH, its corresponding Gate output turns on. SLEW smooths changes in the CV outputs.

TACTUS also calculates the centroid of the four key presses. CV X represents the left–right position and CV Y the up–down position, both across a range of −5V to +5V. CV Z represents the combined press depth across all four keys as a 0–5V signal.

Together, these outputs let you control parameters with the immediacy of an XY pad, while also responding to the total pressure of your touch.
