Soft and hard diode clipping, with user-customizable diodes on the front panel

Diode offers soft and hard clipping with overdrive; for both soft and hard clipping, users can switch between built-in diodes, or customizable diodes positioned on the front panel. The module invites experimentation without requiring DIY experience: Users can simply plug in their choice of diodes into an IC socket, try out different types of diodes, or even complex arrangements (e.g., asymmetrical clipping using different numbers of diodes, or using transistors). Internally, soft clipping occurs via two 1N4148 diodes and hard clipping occurs via two red LEDs mounted on the front panel.
