It cannot remove crackling, hum or buzz or similar disturbances. If signal level decreases internal low pass filter frequency decreases too filtering noise (and some hi-freq content). Filter sensitivity is set using knob. You can easily compare processing depth by listening and bypassing Silenzio using bypass button.
