Dark Star is a voice module with CEM-like 3340-based oscillators, LM13700 filters, switchable octaves for the VCO, fine tuning, and an exciting filter section that achieves 303-style self oscillation. Attack time is fixed, with control of release time coming from a trimpot or CV input. Additional contour to the envelope comes from dialing in sweep, cutoff, drive, resonance, and VCF CV in.Please take a look at the video and let me know if you have questions. This build uses leaded solder. From the Frequency Central website (): Dark Star consists of 4 sections:Voltage Controlled Oscillator based on AS3340 with sawtooth, triangle and pulse waveformsVoltage Controlled Filter with lowpass and highpass options, Drive control, Sweep control which attenuates amount of Release CVRelease generator with CV input for voltage control of release time. Option for sustain via jumper on rear panel.Voltage Controlled AmplifierTogether they form a pre-patched super versatile analogue synthesiser voice.Additionally, each section is fully modular in it’s own right, so there are patch points for:1V/oct CV inputPWM CV input – attenuator doubles as manual pulse width when no external signal is presentGate input for Release or Sustain/ReleaseRelease CV input for voltage control of Release timeVCF audio input with attenuator, for introducing external audioVCF CV input with attenuator (1V/oct CV is normalised to this input)VCA audio input (VCF is normalised to this input)VCA CV input (Release CV is normalised to this input)Release CV outputVCO audio outputVCF audio outputVCA audio output
