Two-channel analog computer

PG-13 PoodleGroomer is a (beyond versatile and then some) two-channel analog computer.

Each channel can be—or is,—to lesser or larger extent, all at the same time:

• a VCO with phase distortion, amplitude modulation, and gating;
• a squelchy VCF with self-oscillation but SAW and PULSE outputs instead of typical SINE;
• resonator or wall reflections emulator with voltage-controlled ‘cave size’ and brightness
• saturating compressor with sidechain, lo-fi (1-bit) brickwall limiter, sample rate reducer (bitcrusher)
• drum/groove synthesizer capable of cycling loops with gating LFO per channel, each with independent Rate and Depth control
• non-linear FSU EOC (fiddle stuff up end-of-chain) effect with 5 output busses
• dog squeak synthesizer, poodle-pass gate and canine supercomputer

Some of the things that make it different from everything else on the market meaning that it belongs to every house by right (and left) of existing:

• First World's 555 RC Timer-Based Multi-FX Processor capable of crude physical modelling, slapback echo, karplus & strong type delays, reverbs, and spatial smearing
• Extremely High Gain up to 1000x and above meaning we eat line level signal for breakfast (even 1v/oct input is accepting!);
• Window Comparator Architecture allows for flexible wave mangling (re-shaping and wavefolding): think of PG-13 as timbral manipulator first and foremost;
• Per-Poodle Voltage Regulation for stable operation and amazeballads (for BALDlads and then some) sound quality to send home postcards about;
• Harmonically Rich and Exciting Output approaching Rail-to-Rail (22V p2p+) for Hollywood score-friendly S/N that our handsome customers are deserving of!
• Analog AF

Use as a complex VC(FA)O with 2 LFOs entirely self-patched or hello-world with 16-jack spaghetti. Safety first, though: the care was taken, reverse polarity protection [✓], input and output buffering and current-limiting [✓] as well as no-soldering-required user servicing of the main chips [✓] are provided.

All PoodleGroomers come with 2 x КР1006ви1 DIP-8 ICs installed for extra nostalgic vibes: these are 1990-97 NOS vintage chips (ALFA factory in Latvia) with who-knows-which-year-exactly manufacturing date so we are talking both Soviet and Post-Soviet sonic signature with more endearing and natural personality than contemporary silicon.

Over three years in the making with focus on user-friendly experience rendered a rocket scientist credential to be able to operate anything but mandatory. Patch whatever into wherever, turn the big knob within narrow enough zone and surprise yourself with turning a handclap into cowbell or yapping bark bark woof.
