Mighty Mouse VCO w/ Through-Zero FM & SuperSaw
MM is happy to introduce you this guy - « ESSAIM ø » Voltage Controlled Oscillator.
Now the last thing one should do is to get fooled by this guy’s size (2hp) since it packs features never seen in this format - namely Super Saw (« swarm ») and Thru-Zero Frequency Modulation / Phase Modulation beside other waveforms simultaneously available.
Provides Sine, Triangle, Ramp outputs (or SSaw, selectable on the side of the module) , Hard Sync, tracks V/Oct. across 8 octaves and has excellent temperature stability.
MM packed features in this micro oscillator that can’t be found together even in big complex VCOs ✌️ Deep Frequency Modulation that is perfectly controllable with 'thru-zero' capability with phase modulation (AC coupling) selectable option.
More techically Essaim ø is a special VCO containing phasers which continualy shift phases producing mouvement, lively animated waveforms thus giving impression that there are multiple oscilators lightely detuned instead of just one- this concerns mainly the Saw wave outputting a big swarm of waves 🌊 to many much more powerful than regular PWM. (This module is also thought 💭 to be a perfect partner of Tarot LC waveshaper who already knows lots of tricks with pwm)
The sine and triangle are more 'preserved' to provide wave shaping-friendly waveforms to Tarot (or any waveshaper).
Its compact size alows to setup compact VCO secton for modular polyphony or to form multi analog-FM operator block in mimimum space (by the way just with adding a second Essaim ø you'll get monstrously fat Ssaws :)
If you're willing to explore different tastes of wave swarms there is a possibility to adjust phasers rates to your taste on the side of the module.
