Triple analog drum synthesizer
manikk DRM3 is a triple analog drum synthesizer.
Each drum has individual controls for gain, tune and level.
When a drum gets a positive signal on the trig input, from zero to high, the sound is triggered.
The impact of the trig can be set with the gain knob.
The level of the trig input also affects the overall output level and sound character a little, so the drums are somewhat “velocity sensitive”.
The tune of the drum sound can be adjusted with the tune knob.
The output level of the sound is adjusted with the level knob.
All three drums have a distortion feature. The more input gain and the more output level you apply, the sound becomes more distorted.
Each drum has its individual output jack.
All three drums are also mixed to the mix output jack.
Drum nr 1 is mainly for bass drum sounds.
Drum nr 2 can be used for BD but has a higher frequency and can also be used for tom-like sounds.
Drum nr 3 is very short, “clicky” and has the highest tune of the three drums.
Features for each Drum:
Trig input jack
Trig gain knob
Tune knob
Drum level knob
Drum sound output jack
The output levels are bipolar, about -10.7V to +10.7V (21.5Vpp).
All outputs have a 1K resistor before the signal is sent to the output-jack.
